Ive just received a new surround sound speaker system that is quite old but very good quality, It has a rca (red and white) to input my xbox 360, tv and pc. Is there a way to connect them all to the same system? What will i need? Thankyou very muchHow to wire Surround sound speakers to pc and xbox 360 and tv?
The only way is connect your XBox and TV to a surround receiver and use its input selector. Buying an input selector alone wont do you any good if it doesnt have an amp to power the speakers.
I have my HDTV, PS2, PS3, DVD, satelite box, DVR and xBox all running thru my Onkyo, and works awesome.
So if you dont have a surround receiver, then you will need to get one. Good luck. How to wire Surround sound speakers to pc and xbox 360 and tv?
If it only has one set of RCA jacks, then you will need an audio signal selector. They range from about $20 to $55. http://shop1.frys.com/product/3067889?si鈥?/a>

How can I connect to a Client PC without disturbing their work?
How can I connect to a Client PC while the user is logged in? I don't want to disturb their work, Just check distribution versions and run a couple tests for updating purposes. How can I connect to a Client PC without disturbing their work?
if u remote in, it will interrupt their work. What you want to use, if all you want to know is updates and etc, is called MBSA. Microsoft Base Systems Analysis tool. You run that over the network to look for vulnerabilities and etc.
This all comes into play if you have a WSUS setup as well. while a SMS is better and can do more, an WSUS is a good thing to have so you dont need to kick anyone off their computer. Plus you can send out updates to whomever, whenever you wish. It makes life as an administrator easier.hidden myspace photoshop

How can I make my custom built pc's fans stop operating when I want it to sleep or hibernate?
I'm a first time HTPC builder and everything work great except for the fact I cannot make the PC sleep or hibernate without the fans running at full speed. The hard drive shuts down but the CPU fan runs as fast and noisy as ever. How can I make my custom built pc's fans stop operating when I want it to sleep or hibernate?

How would i go about having a PC with a wired connection, but also have a wireless connection with one modem?
I have one computer, and will be getting a wireless router soon for my laptop. Is it possible to keep the PC connected through a wire, but also have a wireless connection without the use of a router? How would i go about having a PC with a wired connection, but also have a wireless connection with one modem?
Without the router, no. You need a router to connect 2 computers to 1 modem, and a wireless router (or access point) to connect wirelessly. Unless your provider provides wireless service that you can access. (Mine does, but in publicly-used areas. I can't get a signal from my house, but I can from my office in an industrial park.)How would i go about having a PC with a wired connection, but also have a wireless connection with one modem?
without a router, no.
You will need the wireless router to have both computers accessing at the same time.
you need a wireles router, they come with 4 conections for wire plus wireless

How do I share files from my pc to my mac via an ethernet connection?
We have our files set up in the shared folder of the pc with the share to the network option checked, but we don't know what to do on the mac end to get them over. Can anyone explain this to us using the ';Dummies'; version ; - ) Thanks! How do I share files from my pc to my mac via an ethernet connection?
Click the Finder icon (bottom left of Mac screen, on the Dock.
In the sidebar of the Finder window that has just opened, under the Shared section, click the PC's name.
Double-click the Shared Docs or similar icon to open it.
That's it!
If the PC's not showing up, the computers are probably not on the same network or not networked properly.
If the PC is not listed under Shared or there is no shared folder listed, then you have not correctly enabled sharing of that folder.

It costs money, but it's professional grade. Also, VNC for Mac is a viable option.. just setup the server for PC on your PC.
Use chicken VNC to view the computer:

The free version of this is very nice, and I use it often. It even works through firewalls.
Just download the Control software on the computer you are using to do the controlling, then download the client software on the computer you are going to control. Create your usernames and passwords on your login accounts and bingo. you're in.
