I now use MS Outlook & want to move old mail from Yahoo to Outlook. Can it be done?

I want to manage all of my mail accounts from MS Outlook and now have some of my BTInternet mail at Yahoo and some on my PC in Outlook. How can I move the mail across so it is all on my PC together?I now use MS Outlook %26amp; want to move old mail from Yahoo to Outlook. Can it be done?
There is a $20 program called TrueSwitch which is compatible with Yahoo, GMail and Windows Live accounts. ';Whether your information is stored at the web site of your old Internet Service Provider, or in an application on your computer, TrueSwitch will copy your stored emails, address book entries, calendar events and favorites (sometimes called bookmarks) to your new account. It does not modify any of the information in your original account. All your information will remain at the old account unless you choose to delete it yourself, or you cancel your old account.

You will need to know both the incoming POP and outgoing SMTP addresses and port numbers used by your usual mail program. So far, I have found no solutions for using Internet Explorer browser, except for the paid (~$20) Plus account.

Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Yahoo! typically provides access to a POP server if you have a free account in a non-USA yahoo domain (for example de.yahoo.com or yahoo.ca,) though you may have to sign up for Yahoo Delivers. If you get a free account in the USA (www.yahoo.com) you only have support for webmail and need to add something like the YPOPs! add-on or the webmail extension.

Programs for webmail to POP 3 settings (using Firefox browser and Thunderbird mail program):

YPOPs!: Open source Yahoo! Mail proxy program for Windows, Mac, and Linux. See these setup instructions for Thunderbird (with screenshots) or the official instructions.

# MrPostman: Open source proxy program for Yahoo!, Hotmail, Gmail, and more written in Java.

# FreePOPs: Open source extensible proxy with Lua scripting for AOL, Hotmail, Netscape, Yahoo! and more.

# Poppeeper: A freeware solution that allows you to use Hotmail, Mail.com, Lycos.com, RediffMail, Yahoo! Mail, and others, with your e-mail client.

In order to use a separate email program, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, or Thunderbird, with Yahoo Mail you need POP3. It is also needed when using any program or right clicking on a file to directly send email. It is free in the UK, AU, and NZ but in the US you must pay for Yahoo Mail Plus. It is also required when you try to transfer the mail using smtp or pop3 to another online email. When you do you can set the servers as follows:

Incoming (pop3)

US - plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com SSL 995

UK - pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk SSL 995

AU and NZ - pop.mail.yahoo.com.au SSL 995

Outgoing (smtp)

US - plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com 465 TLS

UK - smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk SSL 465 TLS

AU and NZ - smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au SSL 465 TLS

NOTE: The same servers are used for ymail and rocketmail. Use the entire email address as the Yahoo ID.
