If you're talking about commercial video DVDs, you need a license to copy them. See 17 USC 106(1), which I've linked. You are trying to reproduce the copyrighted work in a copy, which is something the copyright holder has the exclusive right to do.How can I load my dvd collection on to my pc?
Right click the dvd icon and click open.goto video ts and copy.If it cannot copy it may be copy protected.Possible causes:1.dvd lens problem (use a dvd lens cleaner dvd). 2.dvd rom disabled.(check for dvd icon) 3.IDE cable not correctly
Copy video dvd to pc, don't like copy cd to pc, you need to use a right software, you can try RZ DVD Copy, it can copy video dvd to computer hard drive, or copy video dvd to hard drive iso files, or convert video DVD to any video files and save onto computer harddrive, etc, you can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Copy, easy to use, hope it can help you!

What exactly does it say? You could put your DVD in your drive and make an ISO of it, use MagicISO or PowerISO.
