How do i connect a PC hard drive to a tv, to act as a monitor ?

i think the question explains everythingHow do i connect a PC hard drive to a tv, to act as a monitor ?
use the hdmi leadHow do i connect a PC hard drive to a tv, to act as a monitor ?
i think you mean how do you connect a PC or Laptop to a TV
You need to connect the PC to the TV, not just the hard drive. Assuming you have a flat-panel TV (rather than an old CRT) this should have similar connections to a monitor. However, if your TV has a USB socket and you have a USB hard drive, that may allow you to play media files from the hard drive on your TV.
nope. that doesn't explain anything.

what's going to make the hard drive do anything?

either you need to have the hard drive hooked up the a computer, and hook up the computer to the tv through a VGA or HDMI connection

or

you need to buy a media center box, that you plug an external drive into via USB, and the media center box connects via HDMI (though you can get versions that connect other ways)
You would need to connect the whole computer...

One way is use s-video supported video card (s-video cable from video card to tv)

Some newer televisions support VGA in (monitor cable from pc to tv)
u need an HDMI cable !
Depends on the tv and the computer... If both are newer and both have HDMI ports that's the easiest way. Otherwise probably s-video cable, again if they both have the hook up or if your tv is one of the rare kind with a vga connector. Otherwise, you may need to get some kind of adapter to make it work. vga to HDMI or vga to s-video or vga to rca or rf... if it's an older non-HD tv... but if that's the case don't bother really because a tv that old will make a horrible computer monitor because of the low resolution.
Some LCD tvs have a VGA or PC input port on the back of them. Just use a VGA monitor cable to connect the two. Like this:

You would need to have computer speakers, or to make the sound come out of the TV, connect a cable with headphone jacks on both ends between the headphone jack on the PC and the audio input on the TV.

Some computers have HDMI outputs or S-video outputs on them. If you do just connect the appropriate cable between the PC and TV.

If you are trying to hook up an older CRT type TV it can be done but you would need to have a video card with composite video outputs and a lot of times the quality just looks bad.
You can't connect a PC hard drive only, as there is no processor to interpret the information on it.

But you can connect a PC to a television using a HDMI cable (if the TV has a HDMI input and the computer has HDMI out), or with a DVI-to-HDMI cable (if the TV has HDMI in and the computer has DVI out), or with a VGA cable (if the TV has VGA in and the computer has VGA out), or as a last resort with S-video or S-video-to-composite cable (if the TV has S-video or composite in and the computer has S-video out).
Is your PC hard drive is External Hardrive?

If yes, buy for DVD player with support USB storage.
