How to I change what programs start when I start my pc?

I have Windows XP. How do I get to the screen where I can choose which programs start when my computer starts.How to I change what programs start when I start my pc?
i have windows xp too and what i use is start up delayer. what it does is it lets you choose what program you want to start when your pc is turned on. you can set each program to a specific time before it can start, which makes your pc start up much faster.....btw it is a freeware too, so you don't have to pay for it! download it here:

xp / vista / windows 7 service configuration guides
Hello,

Roy from this Yahoo! Forum answered this question few minutes ago. Here Roy's smart answer:

';Slow computer can be improved without cost. Getting rid of the services running that are not regularly used will free up processor time.

Msconfig is built in. Go to start run and type msconfig. On the boot/startup tab is where the services are that start when your computer does.

Hope this solution from Roy help you to answer your question. Take care.

Those that you don't use all the time you can uncheck. then save and close.';
