If the system or system32 folder is missing, and you do not have a Windows XP CD:

The official answer is, you will need to buy a new Windows XP CD and reinstall Windows to get your computer working again.

The second official answer is to hire a IT professional to come and reinstall Windows from one of their CDs, using your CD key. If your copy of Windows XP is legitimate, then you should find the CD key on a Windows XP label stuck to the outside of your computer, somewhere.

However, IF your computer installation is legitimate, AND you have a valid CD key, then you can go to another computer and download an illegal copy of Windows XP and burn it to a CD. Reinstall Windows from the burned CD and enter your own CD key when prompted. Note: not all CD keys work with all Windows XP installers. Make sure that what you download matches your system's installation. Once you've downloaded XP, and repaired Windows, destroy the downloaded software.
Do you have a recovery partition on your hard drive? Be aware using it will reset your computer back to original specs, this will reformat the drive, and you will lose any data you have on your hard drive.
