How can my desktop PC connect to internet through my notebook?

I have two computers running XP on both. I want to connect to internet from my desktop, via my notebook. I have already run the network setup wizard but all I have is sharing folders but no internet access on my desktop PC.

Please advise me how to connect my desktop PC to internet via my notebook.

Thanks a bunch...How can my desktop PC connect to internet through my notebook?
all you need is something called a ';switch'; or ';ethernet switch';, and extra cat6 cables. Simply plug the cable that was running to your PC into one of the ports on the switch (they usually have something like 5) then all you do is run cables from the switch to your PC and laptop, and viola, internet on both :)How can my desktop PC connect to internet through my notebook?
you need a router.

Or are you trying to run wireless?

I dont get what ur asking?
That thing is garbage, just follow the tutorial on my website, it was designed for an xbox, but this follows the same principal.

Click on articles, then on the link called ';Use your laptop as a wireless adapter for your game system';

Hope it helps!
I have tried this myself and it doesnt work except i tried doing it so i can get the Xbox 360 online with the laptop never worked i tried every option and as a computer tech all admit networking (like this) is not my speciality i can do home networks with a DSL/Cable Modem and a router thats about it.
use a wireless router or a usb router
