Hi,
I was gifted this morning by annoying message on my PC that it had been infected. I saw a message come up that said that there was a virus in my PC, would I like to clear it. It was a program that seemed to be on my bar at the bottom. I ignored the message and clicked on my origional virus checker (AVG). It wouldnt let me enter this. It kept on coming up with a message to purchase their own virus checker so that i could remove it. When I tried to go to the internet explorer i was faced with the same message. then it would revert to a porn site.
I have backed up all my important documents onto another PC.
What do I need to do now? do I need to back up the whole system or what?
i even copied a copy of the avg virus checker onto my pen drive to try and install it from there, but it would not let me do this.
i also tried to do a system restore but alos no luck. How to remove a virus from PC?
